Calling slow upgrade Office 2013 users: Beginning March 1, 2017, your users will no longer see Office 2013 as an option for download through the Office 365 portal, and admins will no longer have the option under Software download settings in the admin portal to choose to enable Office 2013.
This won’t come as a shock to Tekmar Solutions users. We have been advising the upgrade for a long time. Microsoft is removing the option from Office 365. In addition, Microsoft will no longer provide feature updates for this version, nor provide support.
Bye, bye office 2013. I really liked the performance advantages over office 2007. There are greater pluses for the modern version now than there was back in 2011 when we began exploring 2013. We’ll miss you some but your younger sister has the advantage today.
Note, above that Office 2013 was originally promoted as off the shelf boxed software. Things have changed a lot. With Office 365 it is changing all the time. New features, the latest functions and most important, security features. We recommend you install Office 2016 as soon as possible. Need help, call Tekmar.
