Three simple reasons that upgrading makes sense now: Always

The has been huge growth in data over the past few years. Big data this and big data that. Where do we put it and what do we do with it? The three simple reasons are:

  • Inexpensive
  • Secure
  • Productive
  • Greater Awareness

But more than quantity the big advantage is security. A lot of people resist upgrading even though the learning curve is not that great. Thinking that they are better off being more productive with the technology they know, people are actually hurting their brains, and endanger other users by neglecting their on security and productivity. Much of the stagnation is driven by cost concerns and apathy in the end user tech support sector. Calling our customers and prospects and telling them that they need to upgrade makes more work for them. After all we have to continue to support the older versions for people who haven’t upgraded yet. And we have to engage in a personal cycle of learning to stay one step ahead in the recommender queue.

Now excel with all those rows and columns is also stuffed full of features and tools.

One of the most widely used business tools is also vastly under utilized. The fact is there are thousands of support tools and tutorials available for free. So why wait. We get so busy doing what we do that we fail to consider alternatives. This is why IT blueprints are so important. By charting out various processes involved in our transactions we can determine the best use of the tools available now. There are many tools on the market and some available for free that make waiting as obsolete as many of the same tools people are using to their own detriment.

Mostly we hang on to old tools out of habit. Just using them because of our literal addiction to those habits, not the tools. It is easy. Upgrading your tool set should be easy because the easiest one, Upgrade Microsoft Office, is inexpensive, more secure and brings with it more productivity. That is where the awareness part comes: carving out new habits bring with them new brain pathways that increase our awareness and enlarge our world. Try it for free now.
